As is quite obvious it has been a while since I've done any housekeeping on this site. I've been quite busy doing other things, like work on other people's sites, and I completely forgot to maintain my own web presence. I often tell my own clients it is important to keep their site fresh and I recently got caught not following my own advice.

So why is it so important to keep a web site fresh? Let me put it this way.

Recently took on a project that allows me to do a lot of coding in Ext JS, an amazing JavaScript framework (I can't wait to show off what this app does). When I met the prospective clients they mentioned one thing to me that caught me off guard. They commented on how it has been a long time since I had updated my web site. This thankfully did not turn out be an issue; however, it really highlighted why a regularly updated web site is important.

I know this may seem trivial, but it does highlight the importance of an up to date web site. If the only thing someone knows about you is via your web site, is what you have now what you want them to see? Have you done other great things you want to share? Have you changed your store hours, location, or contact information? I think the point is made. Especially for me.
